Photos taken by our photographers will be provided to the organisation who will post them in the password-protected environment of the Frontier website.This is only accessible to participants whose account has been manually approved by the board.
If the organisation wants to use your pictures (or pictures of you) for promotional use they will contact you to ask explicit permission for this.
Take-Down Requests
After pictures are posted, participants have a 14 day grace period after the pictures go up, during which they can send requests with the picture ID that they wish taken down. The person can specify if they want the picture entirely removed or simply have their face obscured.
Opt-Out
At the start of each event, when you sign in at the ‘overlord desk’, you can check the box to opt-out of photos.
Choosing this option means:
- Photographers will attempt to avoid taking pictures of you
- Photographers will work with the board to remove pictures of you from the batch before posting to the site.
Sharing/Social Media

You cannot use pictures found on the Eos Frontier website on social media during the 14 day grace period.

If you want to post a picture on social media, you need to ask permission of every person in the picture, including persons appearing in the background. Without this permission, the default assumption is that photos from the website have only been approved for posting on the website and nowhere else.

If you take photos on the event, it is acceptable to contact your fellow participants and request standing permission so that you do not need to seek individual permission for each person after every event. It is up to you to maintain this list accurately.

If you are contacted by the organisation or a fellow participant with a take-down request, you must respect the request and remove it from your social media.
Fotobeleid
De door onze fotografen genomen foto’s worden na afloop met de organisatie gedeeld, die ze op de een met een wachtwoord beveiligde omgeving van de Frontier-website zal plaatsen. Deze pagina is alleen toegankelijk voor deelnemers wiens account handmatig is goedgekeurd door het bestuur.
Als de organisatie jouw foto's (of foto's van jou) wil gebruiken voor promotionele doeleinden, zullen ze contact met je opnemen om expliciete toestemming te vragen.
Verwijderingsverzoeken
Na het publiceren van de foto's hebben deelnemers een gratieperiode van 14 dagen waarin ze kunnen vragen dat specifieke foto’s worden verwijderd, met vermelding van de foto-ID. De persoon kan aangeven of ze willen dat de foto volledig wordt verwijderd, of dat enkel hun gezicht onherkenbaar wordt gemaakt.
Opt-Out
Aan het begin van elk evenement kan je tijdens het inchecken bij de ‘Overlord-tafel', het vakje aanvinken om geen foto's toe te staan.
Deze optie kiezen betekent:
- Fotografen zullen proberen geen foto's van je te maken
- Fotografen zullen samenwerken met het bestuur om foto's van jou uit de batch te verwijderen voordat ze op de website worden geplaatst.
Delen/Sociale Media
- Je mag tijdens de periode van 14 dagen na publicatie van de foto's geen foto's van de Eos Frontier-website op sociale media plaatsen.
- Je moet als je een foto op sociale media wilt plaatsen toestemming vragen aan elke persoon op de foto, inclusief personen die op de achtergrond staan. Zonder deze toestemming wordt standaard aangenomen dat foto's van de website alleen zijn goedgekeurd voor plaatsing op de website en nergens anders.
- Als je tijdens het evenement foto's maakt, is het acceptabel om contact op te nemen met je mededeelnemers om langdurige toestemming te vragen, zodat je niet na elk evenement opnieuw afzonderlijke toestemming hoeft te vragen van elke deelnemer. Het is aan jou om deze lijst nauwkeurig bij te houden.
- Als je door de organisatie of een mededeelnemer wordt benaderd met een verwijderingsverzoek, moet je dit verzoek respecteren en de foto van je sociale media verwijderen.
